John Atkinson, Bee breeder Dies

Pune, April 3, 2008 (compiled by: MCS): John H Atkinson, NDB, author of the popular beekeeping and bee breeding books, bee breeder and a regular contributor to the Journal “The Beekeepers Quarterly” died on Friday, March 28, 2008, according to Apis-UK notice. Atkinson was a world figure in the field of beekeeping, and is well-known for his work, writings and knowledge on bee breeding.

In the Apis-UK notification Jeremy Burbidge adds that the funeral would be at Bury St Edmunds Crematorium on Friday April 11, 2008 at 3.00 pm.
